Although this ride is a centennial tribute to Captain C.K. Shepherd who undertook his journey entirely alone, Captain Hunnibell will be attended by a small crew to provide safety motorcycle escort and mechanical support. Additionally, because it seems likely that members of the public will want to join the ride, Mark has made arrangements with the American Motorcyclist Association to sanction this event as a Grand Tour that will operate under the AMA rules for participant events. Mark will be producing signup forms to be available online (that could be completed in advance and then brought with you), but we will also have copies on the ride for anyone encountered along the way who would like to ride along.
